Working with the NDIS to make it work for you: Transport
Transport is about having the freedom, independence, socialisation, income, education and much more. National Ability Care provides safe and reliable transport to get to any community, social, work or daily life activities. Transport can be provided as a stand-alone service or in addition to another service.
Some of the reasons you may consider using the transport services :
- setting to medical appointments
- Visiting friends/and family
- Getting to group activities in the community
The NDIS can also help you pay to support you with social and community participation, e.g. going out to the movies with friends, playing sport, going to the zoo. This can also include their support with travelling to and from your home before and after the activity.
This support is covered in the 'Assistance with Social and Community Participation'(category 4) funding in your NDIS plan.
